I thought you'd be a good fit for the meme's subject matter, though I'll leave it up to you if you'd like to post on it or not!

I love Charlie Brown, though I don't remember that strip specifically. I'll keep my eye out for it!

You'll soon be a Twitter-whiz, don't worry! If you go to someone's profile on Twitter, there's usually a "follow" button there. Or, if you look at the list of followers/following, there's a "follow" button next to each person's profile picture in the list.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6522333827229141515.post-86016770277599155352008-07-26T11:51:00.000+01:002008-07-26T11:51:00.000+01:00Mags, thank you so much for 'meme'-ing me. I am only now learning from your post of the existence of such a thing and what it means!

Did you ever see one of the Peanuts cartoons where Charlie Brown and Linus are lying on their backs looking up at the clouds? Charlie Brown feels really good because he can make out little ducks, an aeroplane and a dog or something. Linus, on the other hand, (oh Linus, how you remind me of someone...:-)), commences an exposition of the various historical figures and events he is able to see in the clouds. The strip finishes with a rather bewildered-deflated looking CB!!!

BTW Thanks also for 'following' me on Twitter. I went there to 'follow' up and had no idea how to proceed. I saw a prompt that said you could follow someone by clicking on 'follow' but I couldn't find such a link...
sheeze... I'm beginning to feel neanderthal when it comes to social networks...!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6522333827229141515.post-3870402446826733042008-07-25T20:26:00.000+01:002008-07-25T20:26:00.000+01:00Tom - The bagpipes are great! Not only are you sharing interesting things about yourself, but you're also reminding your readers of the things that make them happy, which is wonderful.

I love bagpipes too and I really admire those who have the skill to play them.

Also, I know where you're coming from re: the weather. I've lived in a couple of places in Scotland and I now live just over the border and I must agree that we're very well prepared for the cold weather.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6522333827229141515.post-84480898399215737122008-07-22T14:12:00.000+01:002008-07-22T14:12:00.000+01:00Irene - It's a pleasure! I used to live in Ohio, where it can get below -10 degrees celsius, and I was never cold indoors. Not just in my own house, but in stores, offices, etc -- they take heating very seriously. When I moved to Tennessee, where the low is a bit below 0, they still had central heat but I was often cold in the office. Now I'm in Oregon, my apartment doesn't have central heat. Just tiny heaters in the wall (the temp is about the same with Tenn, but the humidity makes it feel warmer). Nor central air.

Your husband seems to be a good person. I'm glad for you.アケミhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11683621637012398145noreply@blogger.com
